    Welcome to the forum.

I've had mine a few months, doesn't get as hot as the OEM charger.
    Holds everything in place.
A little vibration noise on a rough road, but just turn up the radio.
Better than the shifting sound of the OEM charger when you turned a corner.

I should certainly come with the wiring harness.
Just unplug the rear 12-volt socket, and stick this bypass in.
    Very easy...

Yes it comes with the wiring harness. If you have the oem wireless charger you can plug it straight into that wiring harness without having to take anything else apart

It is more so if your phone can and have wireless charging. The Magsafe is just more so a magnetic feature that "locks" the phone to the charging station, not actually related to charging it.
I had this one, but cracked my rear Pixel 8 PRO camera screen glass before the day is over, so I switched over to this <PHONE CASE> and added this to keep it from sliding <MAGSAFE MAGS>
For the magnetic, just make sure you align it before making it stick for good, ask me how I know....

I have an S22 Ultra, which does support wireless charging. I had thought those rings were part of the charging system, so thanks for setting me straight. I like those attachable rings. They'll allow me to keep my current case.

Not sure what case you have right now, but if you can, try and see if it would allow wireless charging WITH the case on, some are too thick and some have metal in them to disrupt the charging process. However, those attachable rings are nice. Just, line them up right the first time....lol

I have this case for my iPhone and works well. The MagSafe just holds the phone in place. If your android supports wireless charging, I think should work fine.

    ***UPDATE***

Almost 6 months of owning and charger still works well. Phone doesn’t get overly hot but does stay warm. Only thing my 40lb dog put his 2 front paws on center console and did push the circle magnet down a bit. Still functions and holds the phone in place, just a little loose when there’s no phone on it.

Glad to hear it works well for you. Mine just gets very hot after a drive, cause after I get off, I pop the phone in my pants pocket and you can feel the heat coming off it.
It charges slowly, but as such, long road trip this would not be an issue as I just need to maintain the power while using Android Auto and Maps.

Maybe it gets hot because it’s an android?

Haha..... I think because I am in Houston.....lol
But yea, I am good with it for now. Worst case, I take it out and sell it and put original non-charger back in.

I am gonna take it out this weekend. It is slow to charge, and gets way too hot for my liking.
Even with AC on full blast, the backside of the phone is so hot to touch that I think I cracked one of the lens covers....
Hope it works better for you guys, but not for me.

that’s a bummer. Mine is solid still. Phone gets warm but not hot like with the OEM one. My 40lbs dog thought it was a good idea to climb the center console one day and pushed the MagSafe down. A little loose but still works.

By no means of discounting this product, it might be a solid one, just not for me and not for my usage.
I rather not burn my legs when I take the phone off charge coming home and put it in my pocket to pickup all the other stuff......

Does anyone know what versions of the iPhone the OEM charger is compatible with? I know it does not work on the 13

I am Android so as long as your phone can take wireless charging, it should be fine.
Can't speak for iPhones, don't have those.

Did you ever find out why? I mean, might be a manufacture thing, but logically I would have thought that if wireless charging is a function it should work....

It’s the MagSafe Apple started putting in the phones starting with iPhone 12. It’s my belief they moved some of the wireless charging components to make room for the magnet and it messed up the old QI non magnet wireless charging if it’s not in the perfect spot. This new charger is magnetic and holds the phone perfectly in place so it has no issues

For those without the OEM version, what harness is needed for a clean install? Is the OEM harness sold separately? And is this 100% reversible? I'm anti-splicing OEM wiring, so I'm looking to find out from those who fit my same criteria (no OEM, don't like splicing) if this is a fit. I don't mind taking more apart.

Not sure if I understand this correctly, but if you originally don't have wireless charging and am looking to add one, I believe most unit would come with an adapter (I think is 1 to two split? Can't remember) that you just plug in the backside of the rear 12V socket and the wireless charger, button everything up and you are solid good to go.

Any chance you can pinpoint "what" vibrates? I am probably going to pick this up (as my OEM one is useless as others have pointed out), and might try some vibration mitigation prior to install.

At first, I thought it was the phone lying on the charger vibrating.
But it seems it is the round piece on top the charger that vibrates with the phone on it.
It is minimal but I hate rattles, I just turn the radio up..

It doesn't vibrate without the phone but if I tap on it I can see it moves a tiny bit.
Perhaps I could put super glue on it but it doesn't bother me enough to mess with it.
There are other aftermarket console chargers but I don't know if they are any different than the OEM.

In the end, I stopped using the OEM because it made the phone so hot it would lock up until it cooled down.
I would just use a cord charger.
I like this one because it doesn't get nearly as hot.

Would love to see an install with pics if anyone has one. I think I understand what you're saying, and admittedly haven't looked close at any wiring in the console so I'm not even sure what to expect at this given time

The new charger comes with the harness you need. Want to say it’s plug and play with no splicing needed. I believe you hook up the power through your backseat cigarette lighter. Check out some YouTube videos of the oem install. The new one hooks up the exact same way
