VSC off/ Check engine light P0986

VSC off and the check engine light clicked on 2 days ago. Now it’s off. I did try and look at the harness that’s usually the problem but it’s really hard to access it.
I went through the steps to check the transmission level and that seems good to go. Fluid was changed 2 years ago after torque converter was swapped so the fluid is fresh.

Think maybe some driving in snow/ ice we had in New Orleans could have made it go off? Just weird how something like that could click on, and now the check engine light is now off.
The code was p0986

 

It is possible the fluid overheated/solenoid starting to fail. Or the solenoid had some fine debri causing it to not fully actuate.
