Sorry, Stoopid ottokorrekt.. it was suppose to read ‘more power in the power band’. The motor doesn’t make more top end power, but gives you more useable power (about 30 hp with that tune) in the midrange - dyno verified, not just butt-dyno perception.

I’m on stock tire size so I went with some less aggressive throttle settings, but honestly didn’t fuss much over the first iteration. It was superb out of the box for my application. It’s not stock throttle settings, but tweaked just enough to enjoy it. I’ve used throttle boxes in the past and didn’t like them at all. The OTT tune felt more fluid, like the truck effortlessly moves through the gears, verses the stock tune that felt somewhat muted, like it didn’t really want to give it throttle until you slap the horse on its hindquarters.

I’m told tundra tune NA is a little different but very similar.

well hopefully I like it 500 bucks is alot of money for me right now but my wife wants me to be happy and spend some money on myself so I'm going to do it, I'm skeptical though, I've heard ppl say there's no difference and have had ppl tell me it's the best thing they've ever done so idk lol just really dont wanna come out of pocket for barely any results as im happy with the way it runs now

I couldn’t say. It’s the family wagon so I don’t really hot rod it. If we are relying on the butt dyno, it definitely feels quicker, but might not be any faster. Given it makes more power on a dyno (again, though in the power band, not peak numbers) it might be fractionally faster. But I haven’t taken my 6500 lb sequoia to the drag strip… :) But definitely feels quicker and more effortless.

Since 99% of my time is spent at not-WOT, the improvements in that range have been well worth it to me. If I want more scoot, I take the SC’d tundra. If I want more scoot than that, I get in trouble with the misses.

yes its incredibly different, I actually was a little worried with the pedal response he originally put on the tune so he dialed it back just a tad, I'm thinking when I get me new(bigger) tires put on ill have him to put it back where the throttle response was, a little more sensitive, to account for the bigger tires, but so far I'm pleased, I have to say I was skeptical but now I'm happy I did it!
