How accurate are the TPMS sensors? I just recently got my Tundra and checked all of the tire pressures, yesterday. I have a Scangauge III and have one of the pages set to display all 5 tire pressure monitors. All the tire pressures readings on the Scangauge are between 1.5lb and 2.5lbs less than my pen style tire pressure gauge.

With that said, what tire pressure gauges do you all use? I have the Rock Warrior wheels and my gauge was hard to get on the stems.

I generally find the same thing. I trust my hand pressure gauge more than the TPMS sensors but I use them, while driving, for relative pressure readings rather than absolute. If one of the tires begins to show a decreasing pressure trend, I will check it out to see what is causing it. I found one had a nail in it that caused a very slow leak and the slight daily decrease in pressure shown on the TPMS sensor tipped me off.

Had it fixed and all is well.
