No when I bought it certified pre-owned it came with a year off all kinds of warranties. Now I' only have powertrain warranty until 100 000

Powertrain only covers what oil touches.

Yeah a sensor like that isn’t going to be covered by a powertrain warranty.

Call Toyota Corporate 1‑800‑331‑4331. I had a continual issue with the Precollision avoidance sensor. Issue was due to water intrusion into the sensor. There is a tsb in regards with an upgraded sensor with foam covering on the rear over the molex plug and a drip loop added into the harness. They should take care of it for you as it could become a safety issue. Mine occasionally would activate and flash PCS alerts and BRAKE with no one or vehicles being around. Scarey!! After enough initial "fixes" by the dealer, they finally came up with the upgraded unit. Good Luck!

Thank u for that. If it comes on again I hope it's actually when the dealer is open still. So I can drive to it. That was their answer

Rely on your smart phone! I took pictures as soon as it activated. Does yours then show on the dash as PCS off? And do you notice these issues during/after rain or snow events? Document each occurrence as they happen. Then call corporate. They will open a case and notify the service manager to address the issue. If the dealer cannot duplicate the issue, as in my case, Toyota sent thier own tech to determine course of action.

Mine would show the PCS as "ON" and the dash indicator would show as "off"...

Hope this info helps! It can be frustrating.

I’m about to swap the grill out on my 2021. Are there any issues with unplugging the tss sensor and plugging it back in? Want to ensure it’s not going to throw codes.

As long as the ignition is not turned on with it disconnected you will be good to go.

If you are worry, just unhook the negative battery post. Move it a side and don't let the terminal touch battery post. You'll be good to go.

When I plugged mine back in it wasn't working and I guess it's pretty common. Just blast it with some compressed air and make sure it's good and snug, shouldnt be an issue
