2021 and metallic black

Just bought a 2021 tundra from another state. It was listed as black, but it actually a metallic black. I was going to change out the grille to the color matched trd, but was the metallic black specific for 2021? Or is that a special color (218)?

 

Pretty sure it’s 218. Got blue and purple flakes in it doesn’t it? Mine’s the same. 2021 paint code 218. You should be able to find the code on the door’s placard..

Yeah it is 218 from the door badge. I guess my question is , is that the only black or was there another black? I was looking at painted parts for my year and they list some only as black. Didn't know if I searched for a 2021 black that it would be 218 or just regular black.

 

I don’t know if there is another black on our year model. But the other black that toyota use is code 202. That’s just black. No flakes in it like ours 218.

 

The other black is called onyx black (202) without the metallic flake.

 

Love the metallic black. Like others said, check the door sticker
