Been modding for a little over ten years now. Most recently had a 2014 Lexus IS.

Been wanting a truck and with this build, the plans are to continue keeping it “simple and clean ans no more carbon fiber like the last build.

    Minimal off-roading, pavement princess.

Scored a 2023 hybrid tundra 1794 trim with off-road package at 20k miles for $54k (before taxes and all random fees) back in October 2024.

    Exterior Color: Blueprint
    Interior Color: Saddle Tab

Why 1794 and not the TRD pro?
because I plan on modding the vehicle + the brown saddle tab interior is next level. Chrome can always be deleted.

Saw a lot of used capstones that were selling for around $55-$60k for a 2024 but that white interior is ehhh…

originally wanted the new Gen 4 Tacoma but the price per value for the 3rd gen tundra is far better. Just now have to deal with terrible parking spaces.

    First mod one day later,

Chrome delete by @JpWraps in Santa Ana (search him up on Instagram, he did many of my chrome deletes back on my 2014 Lexus IS, and all of the wrapped pieces has not failed since 2018.

    3m 2080 Satin Black:
    - rear upper tailgate
    - 1794 side badge molding
    - door handles
    - mirror caps
    - tailgate door handle
    - front chrome “tundra” piece in the middle
    - headlight… (I think I may have gone way too dark)

Drove back to Northern California and did the chrome delete myself as these are easier and less curvy

The daily, the new truck and the stance.

I plan on wrapping the entire vehicle anyways so leaving the chrome Stache alone. Would be a waste money to wrap it now when it will be the same color as the entire car in the future.

The 1794 has dark wooden trims, lighter wooden trims, matte black, piano black and silver. It’s way too many colors going on for me.

Original got these wooden trims off of Amazon to cover the silver trims, but to be honest these “Hydro dipped” Products look cheap and does not match any of the 1794 wooden trims.

decided I will do all matte black trims to cover majority of the silver trims.

Originally had the matte scream protector on but it looked cheap and hazy. The gloss screen protector, although a finger print magnet, looks a lot more sleak.

new K&N cabin and air filters (x2) as well! Definitely hear more of the throttle. Gas mileage doesn’t seem to be much better, maybe even a loss of about 1mpg….???

Removed my OEM Toyota camera and bought the fitcamx. I use the sienna cable bought off of the website for parking mode (the cables are the same and you use the sienna parking mode cable instead of the y cable it comes with)

fitcamX honestly looks more OEM than the oem camera itself. It’s extremely clear. I ordered directly off the website as the time I checked, it was more expensive on Amazon. I paid about $275 total for the front and rear cam + the parking mode wire. Shipping took 11 days from China. Customer service was really good via email.

installed the rear camera by running the wires along the rubber trims on the driver side. Bought a bracket (2 inches) off of dashcamstore.com, honestly for $25, I feel ripped off for something yet so simple

Tried removing the 4x4 decals on the side and my goodness, it’s a headache. Heat gun and steamer does not seem to work. Thank goodness for the rubber wheel attachment.

Rear “4x4” emblem came off with heat gun and floss. Still need to be buffed out using some polish

Still waiting on all my matte black plastic trim covers to come home. These really add up, overall it was close to $300 for all the trim pieces from doors, to interior door handles to center consoles to ac vents to rear cup holders to steering wheels to push start button.

could I have wrapped them for better pricing and “fitment”? Of course, but Im not willing to break apart the entire car just to remove a few pieces to wrap.

some of the pieces have arrived and installed and I want to say.. for the most part - fitment is about 85% on average

Got my windshield tinted at 50% by rogue auto salon in San Jose California. Rayno ceramic film. $350 is a steal price as our windshield is gigantic at about 80 inches diagonally corner to corner.

let Josh know I sent you!

    Sequential marker lights are in!

pain in the ass to remove the covers, be very careful as the clips seem sensitive.

fitment is 95%, much more brighter than OEM, it’s a true deep orange color with a black housing. Worth every penny

    Interior miscellaneous:

    - the center console is gigantic, definitely need a tray to split up the given space
    - can’t ever go wrong with cover draft + needed for California’s heat. Windshield ceremic tint can only do so much

    When in California….

    - steering wheel lock with code. Just to be safe, who knows… have heard of other tundras being stolen as of late

    - rough county cat shield for hybrid… why rough country? Well a cat shield is a cat shield, this one is about 27lbs and is extremely affordable compared to add a cat ($460) at 32 lbs, talons garage ($350) at 37lbs and taco tunes at 34lbs ($549).

27 lbs (lighter), still really heavy duty and at only $200 is a steal compared to many other options named above.

    New install:
    - heritage OEM grill from Raveoffroad
    - OEM marker raptor lights
    - raveoffroad 20” light bar (It’s the best fitment one that is similar to OEM. The diode and Baja would not fit perfectly in the hectagonal space.)
    - Amazon fang DRL lights

KPMF Perfect Satin Black roof wrap

yes, I know gloss black would have blended in better but gloss black wrap will require a lot of maintenance as if it were black paint (I’ve had it in the past). Watermarks and swirl marks scared me off.

So the fit code comes with a y harness.
The car itself already has cables so it’s plug and play for times if you bought the oem camera. (There are a few YouTube videos but believe me, I have no experience in wiring, it’s straight plug and play and extremely easy).

I didn’t use the y harness because I bought the cable that allows me to use parking mode.

Headlights retinted. It was too dark before, went with a lighter version of the film… to be honest, there isn’t a huge difference between the light and dark film overall but still looks cool.
