Hello, I’m new to the group. I have an 06 Tundra Limited Double Cab with the RCD 4-6” lift. This truck came with the lift. I’d actually like to take it down a few inches as well as tire size. It’s just not practical for what I’m wanting to use it for. I love the truck and it runs great, but with the higher suspension and bigger tires, it just doesn’t handle well. I know this is a permanent lift, but has anyone ever taken it down closer to a 2” lift ? I appreciate any advice !

You'll probably be able to sell the drop bracket lift. Lots of people seek em and they are getting harder to find.
I believe you'll have to weld in a new cross member when you remove the drop bracket.

Yes, using the Search function, I was able to find this thread from @Hi06silver where he was able to un-fucker his truck from the very-similar drop bracket setup Tuff Country uses: https://www.tundras.com/threads/hi06silvers-unf-ck-my-tuff-country-lift-thread.90187/

I did not drop down in height though. If anything I went up 1/2 an inch, I just did what I did because of the stories I read about the upper ball joint spacer breaking so I eliminated it and refreshed the ol' tired ass suspension components. I'd go down a few inches if it didn't involve welding in a new x-member.
