I'm glad I'm not the only one! I stood there almost an hour yesterday trying to check the oil level. Smh. I think next time I'm just going to measure the oil going in and letting it go.

I have taken to parking in my garage which is level and then taking the dipstick out and laying it across the engine with a rag over the dipstick tube and the hood open. Then I come back in an hour or the next morning to get a clean reading. It's a PITA but it's the only way I have been able to get a repeatable reliable reading.

I’ve found one side of the dipstick will be unreadable but the other side there will be a clear line indicating oil level, with new oil you almost need a bright light to see the glare/glisten.
