Anybody use just a crossbar rack on the roof? I have a 2011 Double Cab and don't need a full Prinsu style rack. Just basically need it to mount an awning.

I just threw on a used Thule flat bar setup I pieced together from FB marketplace. Nice and quiet, don't even know its there even without a fairing.
Had to drive around a bit to get the bars and mounts; eBay for the specific fit kits. Spent $200.
I think the weight rating for this on our trucks is 165lbs or something close.

Thanks, I didn't think to check Facebook Marketplace.
