    Greetings all,

I have been trying to remove my front grille and seem to have run into an issue I have not seen mentioned on any YouTube channel. I have around five open bolts that when I turn also turn the threading they are on and they seem to be integral to the grille coming off? Thanks for any ideas you can share if these were present in tour truck. Mine is a 2007 Tundra LTD.IMG_0753.jpg

Is there another angle that would be helpful? I'm not sure what else I can point my camera toward that will show much more but I can try if you are looking for something specific as a reference point. Thank you!

A few... Definitely more than 2
You are correct that is how you get the grille off. However they captured the stud on the backside must broken on your grille which makes sense as looks rusted from the picture. I have a 2012 which is slightly different. The grille switched from studs to bolts and I’m not sure if the number is the same or not. Here is a couple pictures of mine when I had the grille off. I believe I remember there being 8 bolts total, then the plastic clips as well that holds it after the bolts are out.

Thank you for the pictures APalmTree,

I may drive to the Toyota dealer to see what they say. I haven’t found any examples of a grille that has bolts like mine. Most f what I have seen online match what you have, not the thread sticking through - I just can’t see what is holding (or not holding in my case) the threads in place. They just turn with the bolt on the ones that won’t come off…
