Hi, I have searched this site and found some similar posts but thought I would still post and see if people have more ideas.
In November, took my 2017 Toyota Tunda SR5 to town, started out and was on some ice, tires slipped and all of a sudden traction control warnings came on and my radio went dead and my speedometer quite, just for a couple seconds and then it worked again. This happened again a few minutes later, then it was fine

Couple weeks later I was driving down a hill and pressed the brake to slow down some, when I hit the brake the antilock not working warning lights came on and the speedometer quit and the radio turned off, this happened three times while going down the long hill and then everything was fine.

After reading on here, I had my battery tested and sure enough, there wasnt much left so I bought a new one. Went several weeks and everything was fine.

Then heading down the street I started braking and the 4hi and 4low lights and slip light, warning triangle all went on and my screen said Brake controller error, if towing come to a safe stop with manual controls contact dealer. I pulled over, shut off the truck and restarted and it was gone.

Hooked it up to a computer and there was a code for low voltage, and for speed sensors (which several other posts talked about) but the thing was it was three speed sensors which I have trouble believing that my truck with 65,000 miles has three bad sensors.

It didn't say when the errors occurred so they could have been still with the low voltage battery but what else should I be considering since I got the towing error after the new battery?

The past posts on here all talked about bad battery, speed sensor, broken wire leading back to the rear wheels.

Any help is much appreciated, all of you have helped me a lot in the past.

    Thanks
    Russ

I don't know if you have any aftermarket wiring going on, but on my 2007 i had my amplifier's ground wire (0/1) get the green crusties, and caused all sorts of strange behavior like you are describing. I also had the horn start blasting, and various weird things like that. I remade the ground cable (and positive for completeness) and have never had the issue again. I would carefully check any aftermarket wiring if any. Also check factory ground points, especially the one under the truck beneath the driver seat (near parking brake cable) as it is a known failure point.

no aftermarket anything on the truck, but I will definitely check the grounds.

Probably your battery. Tundras do all sorts of funky things when the battery starts to go. Check that first, if it has not been replaced in the last 3 years just put a new one in and see where you are.

I wanted to complete this thread in case anyone had similar problems, started getting all sorts of weird warnings coming up like "traction control, stop and unhook trailer if towing" and other random lights that would come and go almost immediately. In the end, I replaced the factory brake control with the Tekonsha prodigy P3 controller and trim kit that people had used on here and have never had a problem since.
