    Hey everyone.
My brother just bought a 2024 Tundra Platinum with the TRD package offered by Toyota.
Originally the truck did not come with the power step or the suspension that normally comes on some of the TRD packages.
The dealership offered to put these items on, but actually just sent the vehicle out and had aftermarket power steps and an aftermarket lift kit installed, which is not what my brother was told he would be getting.
They removed the skid plate from underneath the front of the vehicle as they said, it no longer fits on there because of the lift kit.
Pretty sure I remember reading somewhere on one of these threads that Toyota does offer the OEM power steps.
Not sure about the OEM 3 inch lift kit that apparently comes with the Trd packages as well.
so my question is what is the OEM option/package that you can get installed for the power step so they are Toyota genuine brand.
Also any insight on a 3 inch lift kit that comes with the TRD packages? That’s OEM if anybody knows if that’s offered.
my brother paid cash for this truck and I think he’s just getting the runaround from the dealership at this point.
    Thanks!!!

@MyTundrareid. You can add on and either have the 3" TRD lift kit (part #PTCCY-34000 and has everything needed for a proper OEM lift @ about $2500)and have the dealership install (usually runs about $2k-ish for install) or get it as a port accessory added on now I think for 2024's. Not 100% if it can be added as port accessory. The TRD packages are not a lift at all they are Bilstein socks and are stock height which also come with MTS, different CV axels, crawl control, and also a locking rear differential. The TRD Pro I think has has a 1.1" lift in the front and fox shocks all around with different sway bars too. Toyota does offer powered steps if the truck comes that way from the factory and they do not offer it as an add on at a later date (different wiring harness and sensors) and your only option there is aftermarket. Typically a 3" lift will required a sway bar drop bracket and the skid plates usually need removed or create a custom spacer to be able to re-install it. Its funny though that people think paying cash is good for the dealer, but really the only place they made money on that deal was adding on probably the cheapest lift they could find and marking it up sky high(guessing its a rough country lift) and the cheapest power steps they could find. Where a stealership makes their money is getting you locked into financing and selling you extended warranties at twice the actual cost or in your brothers case adding on cheap accessory's at a ridiculous mark up. You should almost always play stupid and ask for a specific payment amount of $xxx.xx to get the best deal even if you plan to pay that bitch off at the first payment. Look at what the paperwork said about what was owed at the end of the deal and see if it specifically says 3" TRD Lift #PTCCY-34000 and see if they actually supplied the 3" TRD lift. Just to be crystal clear TRD package does not equal 3" lift. If the "whats owed" paperwork just says 3" lift and isn't specific that's on your bro for not asking what he was getting. Would be curious to see what they charged him for all that to see how bad he got ripped off. #1 Rule at a dealership.... how do you know the salesmen is lying?......they are moving their mouth and words are coming out of it!

Sounds like somebody needs a 3" OE lift w/ 35" tires!
No reason the get the "XL" (extra low) unless your rig is way up there.
My power steps are right at the sweet spot with the lift and tires ... but they're OE ... not AMP "XL" (extra low).
