Saw that before I posted this thread.

Will probably do the gym thing tonight get make myself have to breathe harder. See if I can trigger some sort of reaction and get a better idea if the pill(s) did in fact go down the wrong tube.

I’ve edited my prior posts in light of the guy who’s lung had to be removed from Chex and the other guy who’s lung bled a bunch and looked like hamburger on the scope thingy. I will pray for your soul @Bought2Pull

    Thanks man!

Feels like I have a very slight tickle in my throat" like a sore throat is coming on.

If I went to the ER, here is what I think would happen. 4 to 8 hour wait, no doctor there, get that self-important PA ordering an X RAY and CT Scan, then they'd say "refer you to Charleston" (state capital). So $400 for XRAY and how many thousands for CT scan???

Specialist may not take self pay (no insurance) and if he did how many thousands for anesthesia for a camera to go down there? $50K or so?

Get down there and find nothing since it already dissolved?

I spoke with a friend today and he said he knows he inhaled pills over the years and his doc said "don't worry about it." He said he knew he inhaled it as the blood test was different than if he'd have actually swallowed the pills.

Obamacare is kinda pointless for me since it just shoves you onto Medicaid and most doctors stopped taking new Medicaid patients when the Supreme Court failed to strike down the tax. So you'd literally pay for "insurance" you can't use. So I don't have insurance.

Since Obamacare law won't allow insurance to turn you down for pre-existing condition, just get it after you get sick even though you might not get a doctor anyway.

Listen... I think there's a little too much doom and gloom in here.

I've seen Mia Khalifa and Angela White (both are delightful and inspiring women) hack up stuff that was obviously aspirated and they are both fine.

I recommend OP start an Only Fans so that his lung condition can be resolved quickly, such as it was for Mia and Angela.

Got a little choked around midnight....just a little mucus came up.

Feel fine now.....vodka seems to help.

    (Just kidding....vodka really helps!)

    LOL> No alcohol taken.

Have coughed and hacked some but just a bit of mucus comes up. Feel pretty good. About to go out and do an oil change on the Rav 4.

Did oil change (outside) on Rav 4. Involved carrying the heavy wooden oil change ramps out of and back into the new garage. Did not get winded. Some hacking but again, just a bit of mucus. Still alive, I think.

Glad you guys are enjoying this....which was the main reason for my starting this thread.

Friend I called said he's inhaled a few pills over the years and who advised me to not waste my money and time going to the ER. He added "don't take anything tomorrow."

I had a headache last night so took something. THIS TIME I DID ONE PILL AT A TIME.

    Some.
My lungs are already shot, I sure as hell wouldn't want to be adding more issues into them. Every now and then, I cough up a chunk or two of black stuff. I don't bother going in unless there is fresh blood with it.

When you don't have insurance or the cash on hand to cover, you better be sure you need it when you go to the E.R.---especially the local ER.

Feeling fine right now. Might die tomorrow but feeling fine right now.

Broken foot not long ago cost me almost $2k for a few X-rays, a pair of crutches, and a walking boot. The only good thing is that medical debt can't be held against your credit.

Watched the video....he got off topic there for a bit but I stayed with it. So he has lung issues and what do they do? They ran the tests but for treatment? Gave him steroids.

So far...so far....none of his symptoms. This event happened about 36 hours ago for me. I slept well last night, took a nap this evening, no problems. No pain, no issues with deep breathing, no problems. Hacking some here and there....

Definitely look into some vitamin gummies and maybe crush my vitamins and make smoothies. I did that for a while in 2020 when I ran out of P90X "recovery formula" and I made my own....might try that.

Like that guy in the video said....maybe at 50 I just can't really take 15 vitamins at a time anymore (and I'm pretty sure I've done that before, one gulp).....this gulp was six at a time (I think) and the multivitamin had zero iron as I have more iron than I need. No more of that! One at a time from here on out unless I do the smoothie approach.

    Thanks for the video!

Dude, you got off easy and at least you had something wrong!

Wife overdoes it on a property cleanup. Two days later, she collapses while weed eating. I look over, looks like she's trying some "push up challenge." Run over to her, she's in a lot of pain. Roll her over carefully, keeping head and neck straight. No idea what's caused this.

    Call an ambulance.

    $1500 ambulance fee
$400 XRay (and the PA went nuts when I refused a CT scan....she really got upset when I asked for her superior).
$800.00 "doctor fee" (no doctor there by the way, just that chip on shoulder PA)
    $800.00 ER fee

There 8 hours. What did that PA suggest? "Take a week off and Tylenol."

    Wife is allergic to Tylenol.

Nearly $4K for "take a week off."

See my reluctance to go to the ER?

See, this is how you know medical providers in the US are scamming your insurance companies. An ambulance fee here is $300 or $400.

How long is the wait to get that ambulance? I've been told just seeing a doc at all is a few months out. LOL

Not a fan of socialized anything. I feel if the free market and not laws ran the US healthcare system, things would be cheaper and higher quality.

But ya, all we got out wife's sore back experience was a $400 dollar XRAY that well, showed nothing. She didn't fall off a roof, she fell from her feet onto 5 inch deep grass.

20 minutes, maybe? If you're having a cardiac event, a fire truck will show up quicker than that.

So I’m gonna interject some humour here. How much does it cost for fire department to put out
the fire if your house catches fire? If an ambulance is $1500 a fire truck(s) must be in the 10’s of thousands. But look at it this way, next time call the fire department and say your wife is ‘burning up’
they say it all the time. Most firemen are better paramedics probably than ambulance drivers. Besides, who’s wife doesn’t like being rescued by a fireman. Being practical kind of guys they’ll probably save you a trip to ER with a bit of oxygen and some proper practical advice. And in the end your wife has a smile on her face from the attention of 8-10 firemen. She will feel better much faster.
Not having a doctor, thought you were Canadian at first. Our ambulance rides aren’t free either. Not quite $1500 but not a whole lot less. But there must also be free walk-in clinics?
Maybe hop a flight to Mexico? Have a holiday and see a Dr down there. Maybe that’s cheaper?

Having been a fireman I can say with experience "fire departments save yards not houses." Not too far from the truth. By the time the fire department is called and certainly by the time they arrive, the fire is too far progressed to save the house. Smoke, heat, then water damage...generally a total loss. Basically you have about three minutes to get that fire out yourself before the smoke and heat is too intense.

Have you seen the firemen around here? Morbidly obese, often times smokers. Firemen were getting fat when I was one, look at them now!

About the ambulance.....so the ambulance driver kneels by the wife to take her vitals, comments "wow I wish my vitals were that good" but was sooooo fat she couldn't get back up without being lifted by the paramedic and the guy that came on the ambulance with her. Not very motivating.

Well I feel pretty good, plan to hit the gym later.

No free clinics in USA! Cheap one near me but not the most knowledgeable people there......not encouraging.
