I’m trying to register my truck. I can’t because my truck is missing the vin identification sticker. I thought it was located on the side of the driver’s side door. Can anyone take a picture of the location of their Vin sticker that has the weight the color and all of that information?
I have attached an example from the Internet of what I’m looking for.
    Thanks,

The date on the sticker reads June 2000.
The vin number above the bar code shows a 2000 Tundra.

You’ve got the location right. What happened to your sticker? Painted over? Salvage truck?

Isn’t it on the jam? Not the actual door?

IIRC, on the DC, its' right below the tire pressure sticker, both should be between the door catch and the sill plate, inside the driver jamb. Tire pressure sticker showing here, couldn't find another pic with both.

The picture he sent shows the correct location inside the door jamb when the door is open. Not sure why he needs a picture if he already has one.

His 2000 sticker doesn't look much different than my 2014 door jamb sticker.
The VIN is above the bar code.

Although I have an upgraded tire pressure sticker..

Right, but he’s asking for a picture of where it goes. And then provides an example picture of where it goes :confused::confused:

I believe the driver side door was replaced with a junkyard find without a VIN number. The picture I posted was from the Internet, but I wasn’t sure exactly where on the truck it was located based on how zoomed in the picture was. I was just looking for clarity and confirmation that it didn’t have it.

    Thanks for everybody’s help.

It’s not a salvage title, but I believe something happened to the door and they got a replacement one of the junkyard.

Does the junkyard door not have a label on it?

I’ve never needed my door sticker to register the vehicle. Can you just use the placard on the dash visible through the windshield from outside?

Since it’s coming from Washington state the DMV requires it.

    That's odd.
I did a little googling and found a couple of places that allegedly make replacement stickers.
I can't vouch for the authenticity of them.
The problem is they need a pic of the original..:eek2:

Maybe a body shop could help you get one.

    Home - Auto Data Labels

General Replacement Auto Labels Information-VIN Sticker Replacement, Door Jamb Labels, VECI Decals

I found a few threads about a sticker being under the hood.
I've never looked under mine, if it wasn't midnight I'd go look now..:eek2:

    Good luck.

Thank you for helping me with my investigation. I actually have two old clients that work for a Toyota dealership. I sent an email to them earlier hoping for some help. I’ll keep everybody posted just incase they run into a similar scenario.
