Hello to all. We are Jerry & Kathleen aka Kat&Jer.
We have owned Toyota's for decades. Love them all. However... Maybe that should be "HOWEVER!!!" We just bought our first Tundra. I got tired of having both BIG dogs on my lap whenever we went up the mountain. And Jer got tired of listening to me argue with my dog about the proper way to set in my lap so as not to kill me. Lol. Anyway, this truck is new to us, but used. And while we have the records from the original owner showing how well he maintained it... There was an owner in between. His stepson. And mercy did that boy have fun with it. We knew about one CV axle needing replaced and the spider gears in rear having been welded. What he neglected to tell us was that, at some point, whether being stuck or having too much fun with the posi, the other CV axle was literally snapped half way into the spindle. That was a fun removal. But that's for another thread. Jerry is a retired auto body & paint guy. 50 years in that line of work. Started it 11 years old. Had his own shop by age 13. A great teacher makes a great difference! He just retired in 2023. As for me... Wife & mom. That's about all. So thank you all for sharing here. Many posts have already made a tremendous difference for us. So thank you.
