It's got a couple scuffs from being backed into things, and it's swirled pretty bad. Found about a half dozen quick quack moist towelettes so far, so I'm not at all surprised.

I found the correct pad is VERY important. I did it first with the red pad and it left a few defects. The orange pad was better for defect correction. You may want to consider going to the detailing forum and asking for a good choice for you to buff with. BTW: It is buff on and wipe right off. Very easy. Griots technical rep said the protection may last up to a year.

I can get this tray for the crewmax for $5k (a lil discount if I pay cash is a bonus)
I was told is approximately the same weight as the stock steel bed so I'm not gaining anything other than functionality, but I think this would hold up the camper much better. It's very utilitarian with folding sides and tool boxes and the whole shitaroo. Do y'all think it's worth the price to play or am I better off just leaving well enough alone. I don't expect the truck to last forever but I'd like to get as much use out of it as possible before it shits the bed.

Id detach and reuse or resell when I dump the tundra with hopes of getting some more use or some money back

I ended up having professional paint correction and regret it, I probably could've done better myself

    Nailed it.

I have an '09 with 185K. Eerily similar to this thread. Bought it last year for a similar price and the carfax was a black hole since 2010.

Passenger carpet soaking and broken HVAC knobs both happened. I also had the AUX audio input burn out, which seems to be common with these but was an easy fix.

I had to replace the (original) spark plugs at 183k. Took 20 minutes for all 4 after I found the right combination of extensions.

Car burns no oil and gets 31-39 mpg.

Will note I have a cold start rattle that I suspect is the VVTI.

My wife and I scooped a 14 Corolla s 6 mt as a beater. Put 40k on it in just over a year with normal maintenance. Car is painfully slow but nice to not have to care about it. If it gets a dent, who cares.
