There was a possibility the trans could catch and move the vehicle forward while in neutral. It's just a software update.

Got my fuel line recall final fix done 11/14/2024. They needed to order parts for this and the cracked seat repair. Took less than half a day. No issues. (2023 Tundra Crew Max Limited 4x4)

Well they approved the repair of my strut. Great! Then there's the bad.
The dealership cant repair it because the spring compressor that the dealers use is on a recall.
    Seriously? HA!

So what are my options.... Have them give me a loaner till it comes in?
Have them bring the part to an outside shop to swap the spring to a new strut?

I really dont like going to dealerships for service....

Same. They did my fuel line repair and slip out of neutral SW last week. I was a little surprised that they did it with the fuel tank being near full but they did. They updated the SW or something. Some of the light lurches or fueling issues are gone.

Had mine replaced today at local dealership. Mechanic let me keep the old line for further inspection. After removing the temp fix (wire loom tubing secured with black tape) from the fuel line I did not find any visible abrasions on the line.
My 23 TRD 4x4 Sport is now at 33k and still running like the day I got her.

I have driven my truck below 1/4 tank and taken to the dealer to get fuel line fixed. Twice they said they had parts to fix. Both times job not done. No parts? Next time at the dealer going In to talk to general manager about their service department. Don’t want to cause a big scene because the engine recall is still hanging out there. What a bunch of incompetent employees.

Got mine done at my local Toyota dealer.

Dropped off in the morning and got a call a few hours later that it was done.
Filled up the thirsty beasts fuel tank on the way home.
Got to work the next day blah blah blah.....

I start the truck, go into drive and and hear a grinding noise.
Shit, I stop, get out thinking I dropped something and i've dragged it or ran it over.
Looking around, nothing. Get back in, go into drive and loud grinding noise is there again.
WTF, I look underneath and a large clamp was off on gas tank. It was resting against the driveshaft. (grinding noise found!)
Lucky, the bolt for it was still on the bracket by a thread!

I carry a socket set (Amazon Basic set) went underneath and got it back on with some force.
Checked the other bolts, just threaded on not ond torqued down.
I tightened them all up a bit and went back to the dealership. 5 minutes later the work was done.
They're a bit nicer to me now since I could have been driving on the parkway dragging a full tank of gas.

I try different dealerships with the same luck.
My vehicles are only there for warranty work if needed.

Had my recall on the fuel line completed before Christmas.

First time I took it in for the recall, they didn't have the parts [went in originally for oil change]. Second time I was about to take it in, they called the day before and said the parts were still not in. 3rd time was good to go.

Reminder, or at least thats what they told me, fuel level has to be below 1/2 to 1/4 tank...that was a bit of a PITA...guessing how much to top up as I encroached on the third recall date.

You may also have a gasoline smell in your garage after its done if thats where you park. Alarmed the wife a bit but went away a day or so after...no not the wife, the smell ;)!

    Lots of stuff!
    That is scary!

My wife's car is in for warranty work (not Toyota) and they have taken a 1 hour appointment and turned it into 3 days! Not too sure what the issue is but going to pick up the car today. The good part is that seem to take all our complaints seriously...

It seems that all the dealerships seem to have their issues. either not enough trained staff or no parts or just crappy service.

I am still waiting for my dealership to receive the parts for this. It’s been over 5 months. Why is it taking so long to mfg a fuel line!?
Is it just me or are many others still waiting?
