    I always run snow tires in the winter so I have no experience with chains or cables. Sub'd to this thread so I can learn something new.

    2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome

    Third recommendation I've gotten for them this morning. :thumbsup:

    Some light exploring for winter portraits. But, I'm also planning a 4-5 day deeper excursion for the first weekend in Dec.

    Same answer from me.

    One time was in a 5 ton line truck in 3'+ snow in the mountains, the other was cutting wood, trailer loaded and it rained hard.

    On-road you most likely will never need chains, even in the mountains. If you plan to do some offroading in the snow it is only wise to do so with another truck. Even with chains you could end up stuck and alone.

    I've never aired down for wheeling on dirt/rocks (under level 4 trail). Tires have handled good and no punctures.

    Bought these for when CALtrans says chains req'd..
    Security Chain Company QG3229
    fairly easy to put on when they are fitted correctly... i ended up pulling over less than a mile past the checkpoint cus they werent necessary, and i had a loose link slapping something lol

    I air down but don't go too low as my air compressor isn't that great. Air down more will help for sure.

    Try airing down Jose, especially when you're on the dirt for a few hours. Not only for traction but the ride gets much softer and enjoyable.

    Could be worse. Completely stock. Truck was doing great, until I turned around to check on the wife who I had to get un-stuck. Never stop on wet heavy snow- at least on stock tires, low clearance, etc. :anonymous:
