Gen 3 tundra R and D at the same time

I’ve owned my gen 3 for about a year and a half. When I turn my lights on the truck shifts into reverse. It also lets you shift into drive at the same time. Making a violent jerking back and forth as if trying to decide what gear it wants to be in. July of 24’ it first started acting up. I had Toyota look at it. Told me nothing was wrong and they can’t re create the problem. It seems that there is a short somewhere in my harness. At first it was only during rainy days that it did it. Now it does it all the time. It’s going in today again due to the exact same reason. As it started doing it all the time no matter the weather conditions. Long time Toyota guy but this is going to be my last new Toyota.

I can every time I turn the headlights on. It comes right back. I tried to upload some videos. I’ve got a lot of video on it every time it’s happened. I’ve pulled my phone out to make sure I got it on video.

 

Yup record and/or if possible FaceTime a toyota manager. Which nowadays this should be an option just like the tele-doctors.
