Hey so recently discovered my tail lights and plate lights don't work. Brake lights are perfect. Front lights are fine. Changed out fuse, and immediately blown it. Wiring is fine, bulbs are fine anyone have this issue and figured it out? Thanks

Ensure replaced fuse is of the correct amperage first.

If it is, it sounds like a short, check impacted wire runs again. There is probably a nick, break somewhere in the wires somewhere. Id also check tail lights and plate lights wiring inside the fixtures, for broken, nicked wires or some corrosion that might be causing the short.

See that's what we thought after the fuse, we checked wires first before doing the fuses. Wires are perfect. We bought new lights just in case it was those, and had to get 15amp fuses.

After did the check of the wires, lights then fuses, we replaced the fuse, and it blew immediately after putting it in. Husband's a mechanic so he knows a little bit about vehicle luckily. But this is stumping us.

Maybe some corrosion in one of the bulb sockets? Obviously a short somewhere.

So we're actually thinking that it is headlight switch because everything else is pristine. And if it isn't that then I have no idea what it is and we're actually probably going to have to bring it to somebody. But it doesn't throw any codes or anything every couple of days I have to clear codes due to the clock spring being bad so I would notice if there was a new code.... but we're going to the junkyard tomorrow to pull the part hopefully we can get it same day there's a place near us that won't let us pull it they have to do it so we'll see I'll let you guys know though
