Anyone in NE Atlanta area? Curious what shops people have found to be good with the old Toyotas. I’ve used a couple over the years for basic stuff. I like to do as much of my own stuff as possible, but I’m not much of a mechanic. I’ll do brakes, suspension, fluids but timing belts, valve cover gaskets, power steering high pressure line, alternator, radiator are all things I’ve paid to have done.

Lextechs in Johns Creek. They have two locations, but the Johns Creek location specifically has a fair amount of knowledge for offroad stuff, a few of their shop guys run Toyotas offroad. Shop truck is actually a 1st gen DC. That said, don't expect bargain pricing.

    ToyoTechs is another options.
