Pulled the trigger

Have found the 2020 Tundra V8 I think I'll be happy with. Checked it out and 'they' say it has the big 38 gal tank under 40K miles Grey/Grey. NOW...I've seen here about something about oil leaks on the cam tower? Anything else I should worry about this model year? Remember I'm still a newbie so be gentle.

 

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! What trim and body style? The cam tower leak is a minor inconvenience, not a show stopper. Post some pics!

Buying from Carmax? I’ve had really good experiences with them if so, I recommend their maxcare warranty. It’s super easy to use if god forbid something happens

Congratulations on finding the BEST color they minted these Tundras in!

 

Nice looking truck and welcome! ‘21 SR5 MGM crewmax too.

Wonder what they towed with it (aftermarket tow mirrors). Also double check the tank size, 3 straps instead of 2 holding the tank on.

 

No LED headlights concerns me...might not have the SR5 upgrade which includes the big tank. Does it have a bench seat/column shift?

 

Had a 'chat' with CarMax first and asked, 'they' checked and told me it had the 38g tank. One of the reasons I jumped on this one.

 

Look at it some, when I go there I'll talk more with them about that.

Same model as mine OP!

I've learned to drive like a granny and can quite easily get 16 MPG in local driving. (Towing is about 9 MPG ha ha)
