    why does my heads up display dim when i turn my headlights on in my 2020 toyota tundra

    Probably to avoid blinding you at night, like how the interior lights that are normally on during the day go into a dim mode when the headlights turn on.

    if you push the button to your left down for a sec, not the odometer button but the other side and hold down u can change the brightness of the screem

    Bright interior lights can cause your pupils to contract, and when you go to look out into the dark through your windshield, you can’t focus because the pupils can’t open fast enough to let in as much light as possible to see at night. If you are constantly going back and forth between dark road to bright interior lights, it causes to much distraction and you’ll never be able to focus out ahead of you.

    What gets me is the automatic DRL and the LED dash, you can drive around all night and not even know the damn lights were off.

    My falcon made it obvious, dark dash meant no headlights
