Has anyone installed a rear cargo camera for the box of their gen 2.5? I was hoping to find a camera that is intergraded into the third brake light. I have an aftermarket head unit and have a front camera installed but looking for ideas for a cargo camera to make hooking up my 5th wheel easier.

How many camera inputs does your HU have?

My Kenwood has 4, of which I'm utilizing the front & rear. The other two are designed to be side view cams, and (I think) are activated by the blinker(s)

I have one for the factory reverse and one input for the front. I found a small camera that I plan on installing on the third brake light lens. I’ll use a two channel video splitter to make it work.

Are the camera feeds using a yellow composite cable or USB? Have you found a splitter?

Just to let you know I haven’t purchased and used it yet. I check the the reviews on Amazon and they look good. If you buy and install it before I do let me know how it goes. I plan on doing the installed at the end of the month.

My application is for a Raspberry Pi, a bit different than plug and play. With the 'switcher' term was able to now find some posts talking about the same concept. I'm somehow dumb and was stuck finding HDMI gear, so I had shelved the search temporarily. But, I'll most likely skip the standalone box as I'm building a few PCBs to handle all I/O and it looks easy enough to integrate n-amt of camera feeds while outputting a single feed for a USB video converter with some MOSFETs. My goal was to not use numerous converters.
