Does anyone have any ideas on securing debris/preventing light items from flying out of truck bed without a cover? Let me explain.

I have had covers on my trucks... always. It's one of the first things I put on the truck if it didn't come with it. But I only got into them for the lie about more efficient air flow and gas savings, and then it was to secure things. I very rarely need to secure tools in my truck bed, never overnight (I work in construction but more on the office side). The only value my bed cover brings to me, is when I do dump runs to dispose of my wifes PILES of cardboard and packing stuff, I can pull the cover back over the pile and not worry about anything blowing in the wind.

I want to add a roll bar to the truck, (I have loved that look since Marty McFly's truck), and would have to get rid of the cover to have it. But when I do those runs, what do y'all do to to keep light items from blowing out of your truck?

Bed net? Also, who makes a roll bar for a 2022 model truck? Haven't seen anyone with one.

They are out there. Functional? No. But there are TONS of roll bars and overland kits, etc.

A couple large flattened cardboard boxes on top of all the loose debris with ratchet straps across (in an X pattern; front right to rear left and vice versa), works quite well.

Just drive to the dump as is. The crap that flies out keeps the homeless warm.

I thought i was the only one who still had to go to the dump… ahh Transfer Station.
I made a prototype rod holder that doubles as a ‘dump debris stabilizer’. I move it to best slot just run bungees from them to opposite corner bed hook. Notice little clevis hooks on top of board.
