I have a 2021 Tundra that I bought new. Recently I've been having a problem locking it. The lock sensors on the front door handles don't work and I have to push the lock button on the fob repeatedly to lock it. The unlock sensor on the door handle and the unlock button on the fob both work fine. This occurs with both the key fobs and the key fob batteries are fresh.

Have you installed aftermarket led light bulbs at all?

Probably just a bad sensor, do you still have warranty?

I have an extended warranty. The batteries are not as fresh as I thought. Read slightly below 3 volts. I will get new ones tomorrow and see if it makes a difference.

I replaced the batteries in the key fobs. They work better than they did but still don't lock consistently with the key fob or the door lock sensor. I have a 2011 Prius and I've never had a problem locking it with the key fob or the door lock sensor.

Gotta be a weak sensor receiver or something. How old is your car battery

It's the original battery. Starts and runs the truck fine.

It could be on its way out though. Do you have a meter you can check the voltage when starting?

I finally found out what was causing my issue with the door locks. LED bulbs in the map lights. I put some LED bulbs in the map lights pretty soon after I bought the truck and never had a problem. I bought some brighter LED bulbs for another vehicle I have a couple of months ago and replaced the ones in my Tundra with the new ones also. That's when the problem started but I didn't realize that the new bulbs were causing the problem. Put the old ones back in today and the locking problem disappeared.

What brand led causes the problem? So we can stay away.

Cheap Amazon LEDs for licenseplate lights caused my cameras to act funny also. Put the regular stock ones in and they work perfectly now.
