14+ Steering Wheel Swap

After doing some homework, and seeing some 14+ steering wheel swaps on the 2nd Gen FB page, I decided to source a new to me '14-20 steering wheel to give the interior a little face lift.

I found that the 2010 Sequoia steering column assy, part number 45250-0C260, is also used in the 2011-2020 Sequoia/Tundras, all trims, so the new wheel should fit just fine.

However.

The new wheel has a little bit of play, to the point that it seems that the splines on the steering wheel want to jump the splines on the column. I did press it on and tighten the nut and it seemed tight, and I'm curious if it just isn't getting tight enough without the nut, but my original wheel doesn't have any play compared to the new one.

The clockspring pins are different from the wheel, but there's no compatibility per the fitment sheet, so I'll probably end up repinning the new wheel with the old pin, no biggie.

Just curious what everyone thinks, any if anyone has does this swap before can shed some insight.
