Just spent a few hours getting 1” coachbuilder shims installed. I disconnected the bottom of the control arm and loosened it at the frame so I could drop it down and get my coilover lowered.

After I got both sides done and everything tightened up I took it for a drive around the block to let everything settle a little bit and noticed that my steering wheel is off center to the right quite a bit.

I was under the impression that this method allowed for install without the need for alignment - do I really need to go spend $100 to align tires that are only going to make it another couple of months anyways, or is there some other way I can straighten the steering wheel?
