Hey guys I’ve got a 2001 Toyota tundra 3.4 long bed, planning on doing a camping rig and wanted to ask for some ideas. I’ll add a photo of it and please feel free to tell me what you think would be a good addition.

Alone? Offroad? Long trips or just long weekend trips? I started simple and cheap in the beginning.
2 burner stove. Small tent. Camping chair and card table. Easy to find used camping gear,
Pots and accessories on a cork board at REI. Nothing has to be the best. I’m just saying this
so you don’t think you need to start with a $600 Partner stove. Ya really don’t.

for the most part it’ll be me and a buddy. So far I’ve got lights and mat in, need to find a better way to store my fishingpoles but other than that it’s coming along.

Fishing poles...inside pipe with threaded plugs on one end. If mounted somewhere and you need to, you can make a stick with a hook on one end to reach inside and pull out the rods. Yeah, the reels go in a separate place by themselves too. Keeps both of them well protected from any damages. Might be able to mount on your bedsides right at the top lip to save floorspace and be convenient. Much depends on how the rear door and tailgate on your rig are. Enjoy the good times!
