I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but I am here to watch for sure!

I cannot help with this, but I love seeing these turn out. If you dont get any answers here, I will reach out to a friend who made something similar to see if he has inputs. Looking forward to this project as well.

Climbed back in to the attic as my sis was here hanging out with momma and the baby. Apparently, i enjoy flexing at those angles...

    anyway... before:

After. Need to get a couple more cans and finish it up, but i got the hang of it and it is better than before.

You probably missed it 50 pages back.

Over the past couple years we have had multiple packages and even our mail taken. Our current mailbox locks, but it's nothing real secure and popped easily.

I also wanted a rear access to the mailbox to help assist in not being ran over. The road in front of our house is 40 mph, but some think that is a challenge to double it. (not kidding). With the amount of animals out here it blows my mind away.

Understood. I have a highway out front, posted speed is 55. Logging trucks and everything else runs 60 to 70. Fortunately there is a little curve to the guard rail so I can get to the box safely. I have a locking box but have never had it tampered with.
I’m looking forward to seeing your finished product! I expect quality work and no corners cut!

Drilled and tapped for the lock mechanism. The screws you get are junk.

Spent 2 hours finding a dead wire…found it at an outlet where it had slipped out. This is why I hate those slip in outlets (from builder). All good again.

On the door for this gate I attached hollow metal jambs to each side and mortised the redwood for a fancy lever door hardware set (stuff I had from jobs)

1- i would say black epoxy or something dark if you want an accent color other than black.
2 - are you wanting to have a raw finish look or like hard epoxy top on it?

LOL, looks like it from how clean I can do this foam right? unfortunately no.. as that would be cheaper than more spray foam.

Basically. I see no evidence of water, but we are trying to seal up entries for pests. We had an serious run in with spiders last season and while it is cooler, I am getting up there and sealing off obvious entries. this one was the worst with active spiders in the area. killed them off and then sealed this up.

Yeah, I think the R value is like 24-32 in the walls.
Once it’s heated up I don’t need much of a fire at all.
