Any recommendations on bed covers that can be partially opened AND driven down the road without being destroyed? Why last section open - coolers do not fit under covers

I like the looks of the Leer HF650. It is a quadfold that provides full bed access with the last position folding up, but which does not depend on a drain tube system

Good point i do not want any drain tube systems but can i keep open the section closet to tailgate and drive down the highway without destroying it? I want to put coolers near the tailgate and stuff I need to keep dry, close to cab

Most tonneau covers open to allow for 2/3 bed access and can secured in that position for safe driving, like the Access LOMAX Hard Folding Tonneau Cover. The LOMAX doesn't have drain tubes either, so less to install. Feel free to PM me if you need some guidance finding the right tonneau cover for your new truck.

Thx for the reference to lomax. Let me say this another way. I shut my tail gate and I only want the section closet to my tail gate open AND drive down highway. 2/3 open does me no good as everything gets wet now. I put coolers near the tailgate.

Also my tundra came with factory rails and 4 cleats. Can I use existing rails? Or do a replacement with your rails?

A retractable tonneau cover would be the way to go in this case, like the Retrax ONE MX Manual Retractable Tonneau Cover, so that you can open the cover and lock it in any position without damaging the cover. I don't know of a hard folding option that allows you to only open the tailgate panel and securely lock it in this position without potentially damaging the cover.

Most aftermarket tonneau covers that are flush fitting will mount directly to your Deck Rail system using vehicle specific hardware, so you don't have to remove those for installation.

Thx you for the link to the MX cover. After watching video, this one is not for me. Seems flimsy. Thx for your advice on being able to use existing rails with flush mount cover..I am still researching my options
