    Had a pour of an old 1990s Glenmorangie 10yr single malt scotch. Was light but pretty good flavor. Still wouldn’t pay $350 for a bottle though!

    I'm picky too. There are some decent mixes out there, Costco used to carry Boxer or something similar that was decent.

    If you visit a Wisconsin tavern or supper club I highly recommend a brandy old fashioned sweet.

    This one is my favorite: not too pricy either Low in the peat rating. This is very smooth.

    Picked up a bottle 10 years ago while on a Mexican trip. Going to break into it this year to give 2024 a big fat middle finger salute as it disappears in the rear view mirror!

    I have not tried that variety, however when I was in Scotland I was able to sample a few of those. Never came across one I didn't like. Nice gift!

    Opened the 24 birthday bourbon for Thanksgiving. Pretty good this year. Also managed my biggest retail haul of 2024. Haven't seen a 1L weller 12 in a while. Always nice to have good friends.

    Pretty sure it was the 2024 birthday bourbon I tried at the distillery in September, very good.

    Between Rock Hill Farms and Elmer, which one do you prefer? Never had the RHF only Elmer.

    Both come from mash bill #2 at BT. The rock hill at 100 proof actually finishes with a bit more caramel and very smooth. Elmer has a bite to it that I prefer at 90 proof. Mash bill #2 is considered high rye from the BTAC lineup.
