My wife's employer has vendors that send that to them. Good stuff.

 

We bought the two new cars in 2024, but a lot of our rationale is unique to our situation.

The Tundra, I got a good deal on because it has features that few people want. If it blows up, I’ll have to decide how much towing/camping means to us. But I can replace it if I want. Wins and losses, it will be chalked up as a loss. Life is a battle to lose money slowly with things that age — cars, property, and me.

The RAV4, not a good deal on the PP but I got my wife exactly what she wanted, even the wind chill color.

Even if I wanted to buy a 2 or 3 year old vehicle, I can’t ever find a decent one around here, let alone a good one. I’m only somewhat tolerant on driving someone’s fucked up hand me down.

We were able to find my daughter a 2018 Civic pre covid, and it’s been great. One success story. The used Xterra that we got for her before that was a disaster.

 

I'm hoping to keep what we have until our mortgage is paid off, 10ish years away. Then pay cash to upgrade them.
We're 4 years away from adding a rig for my oldest, probably a Highlander or 4R

The first McRib I had was so awful that I will never try one again - and saying it is improved is not enough.
I am fascinated by the fast food dynamic in the US. At the beginning of McDonalds the burgers were cooked fresh (and Arby's cooked real roast beef). But as speed and quick "service" took priority, Mickey D changed to the pre-cooked elementary school cafeteria store it in boiling water method and ruined its burgers making way for the @T-Rex266 FG fresh cooked burger. The McRib is a great thought and could be fantastic but the execution is a disgusting disaster. Micky D would be better if they just did a pulled pork BBQ sandwich -but that would require the use of real meat instead of the fake McRib "meat".

 

I've never had a McRib. I don't eat fast food often but when I do McDonald's is not a place I go to. Prices are also crazy, I can spend a couple dollars more and hit a local shop that has burgers that are significantly better.
