No 2nd key with new tundra?

My dealer did not give a second key fob for my 23 pro. Said they are on backorder and will get one sometime, but its been two months.
Anyone else get the same?

 

It's the common chip shortage. Has been in the news for a year now.

 

Just had the same issue and I used Tom’s key service online. They cut the key from a picture and mailed the module to program the key and the key fob. It was super easy and cheaper than a dealer.

 

This is the best part... They don't give you a second key due to "chip shortage issues" sure I'll buy that but no the dealer will literally sell you one for 400 bucks wth toyota lol

 

I was told by the dealership that the key would be mailed to me by Toyota. Been only a few weeks for me, given the same chip shortage explanation.

 

Purchased my vehicle yesterday and the dealer advised that the second key would be mailed by Toyota when it is available. Told him I'd mail the second fob of my trade-in to them when I received the Toyota fob (joking, but was semi-serious).

I bought my Tundra 3 weeks ago and received 2 keys. I just checked.

 

Toyota responded to my email about this and said that I could expect the second FOB around Q3 this year LOL

 

I dont see they offer anything for the gen 3?

 

what is toyotas email?

 

I went to the Toyota web site and filled out a form. They replied by email.

 

Bought my 1794 on 16Dec2022. Still haven't received the second fob from Toyota.

 

Sorry that I missed this reply, if you message them text he’s pretty good about getting back to you within 24 hours. Not sure about Jenn three but you can ask him. He may have something in the works.
