Until recently here, like 20 years ago, you'd just ask for a cocola and take what they brought, usually a Coke or RC. If you wanted something weird you'd ask for a Fanta or 7-up.

    So much.

I've been told that you have to put the sugar in when the tea is hot so it dissolves better.

Growing up we always made sun tea. Now if I want some, I just use the coffee pot to heat the water and throw some tea bags in it. After it cools I add ice and Sweet & Low.

We made sun tea as well. Maybe it's a west thing? Because southerners will tell you, that sure as shit ain't sweet tea.

Banks Engineering make good stuff. I'm not a fan of their power tuning products, but the hard parts are good to go.

On my last trip to Montana my PPE trans pan and cooler were so efficient that the transmission was too cool. I had to use my insert to raise the temp back up to operating temp of 150*f and gained back some fuel economy...and I'm talking 2.5 mpg.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Pun intended.

What "insert" are you talking about? I'm a shit mechanic and out of the diesel pickup truck game for nearly a decade.

I have a front mounted cooler insert that limits air flow. I'll go get a picture for you.

I was going to like, but Sweet & Low isn't sweet tea.
Sun tea is fine if the sun is out (Arizona), but usually boiling in a pot is the way here.

I just checked their site, and they make nothing for the Ferd F150 with a 5.0. Must mean Ferd engineered it perfectly and it cannot possibly be improved upon. Suck it 3rd gen Tundra losers. :p

The Coke/Pepsi/RC debate can be resolved by just drinking beer. Simple and effective. If not drinking alcohol, coffee is next in line then water bringing up the rear.

Honestly.... I think I probably would rather drink beer than coffee. It's like a photo finish of terrible but I think the beer just edges coffee out by a hair

That's some science beyond my understanding... how easy is it to put the insert in to get the temp up?

Bacon, beer, Coke, and now coffee? I'm seriously starting to be concerned for you now. Was it early childhood trauma, mental health issues? Don't be afraid to ask for help, modern medicine has made great strides in treatment of difficult problems.

Thanks...but yeah, I've seen that video. Banks is good stuff, but they're also a bit...cultish and alarmist. I take issue with a couple of points in that video. Especially around the whole "that 1qt of remaining oil will never change" BS. I don't remember the exact quote, but something like that. Tell me first how other vehicles are much different and then tell me how the 10qts I added never mixes with whatever's remaining. Fact is, the oil does mix. People that change their oil on the regular don't need to worry about it and people that don't change their oil on the regular don't buy Banks...the world is an imperfect place.

Just pops in a few seconds. Duct tape and hard packing foam. Guestimated the hole size needed to keep enough air flowing. If I have ambient temps of 60*F...time to pull out. It works great down to -15*F.

100%. I did my oil pan for added cooling and one extra quart. The one extra quart is a PITA though.

Sounds like an awesome product. Especially for someone who tows a lot and can easily adjust temps as needed via airflow.
