I've never used UAG phone cases, but have seen them around for years. Currently in the market and was perusing their offerings, had some questions I wasn't finding answers on Google or Reddit so reached out via email to their customer service.

Gotta say I'm impressed! Did not take long for them to respond initially and there was some back and forth, but in under and hour from my initial submission I had gotten 3 emails from them all with well detailed emails!!!! Besides @memario1214 there are not many companies with customer service like that. I'm just impressed and wanted to share. Not sure if I'll be buying from them but that is more about product availability and offering.

 

Robert, I don't think they make them for the HTC Hero...

 

I think I still have my HTC One Mini somewhere....

 

I have a UAG for my S22. I have driven off with it on my bumper or bed rail more times than I should admit. found it on the ground in the street each time. no damage to the phone or the case, So I do recommend it for its durability and protection.

Yeah, they definitely look good and their drop height rating is double most other companies. I was wanting to get a case that is MagSafe compatible because I too am an android user. I reached out to them because their "base" Pathfinder (single color case in 4 different colors) is compatible but they have a ton of unique and fun color variations but their individual product pages don't show Mag compatibility. But the case looks the same and it's the same product line.
But it seems their website is correct and the fun colors do not have the magnet build in to their case. Was wanting to get this

I think the MagSafe is an Apple only thing so I think that's why you aren't seeing anything about it on the Android cases. Qi?

 

In the last few years they have added it to other phones since MagSafe chargers and assessories have become really popular. I just really liked the cool coloring of that case.

"Find my" for my Apple stuff is probably my most used app. I'm always setting my phone down and forgetting it. The other day I was looking all over for it and it was in my freaking jacket pocket.

 

I normally run a black or navy blue case (currently have a black one from Walmart to have something on my phone) but now that I've seen all the fun options I'm struggling being content with a regular case

Guess I could just take a black case and cover it with one or more TM slaps!

 

Here's a first time for me but I've been trying to make some different dinners that the kids will really dig into.

Chicken bacon scalloped potatoes
1. slice 2 large chicken breasts into thin cutlets.
2. Use a mandolin to slice 1 large potato. I used a sweet potato for this recipe but I'm sure a russet or Yukon gold would be a good choice as well.
3. Line a bread dish with bacon strips, leaving half of the bacon out of the dish.
(12 oz package black label)
4. Place an even layer of potatoes and seasoning of choice on top of your bacon layer in the bottom of the dish.
5. Add a layer of shredded cheese. (I used what's on hand; shaved parm, Monterey jack and cheddar)
6. Add an even layer of chicken cutlets
7. Brush the top of the chicken with beer mustard and garlic butter.
8. Repeat layers until it's to the top of the dish. For mine it was 3 layers of potatoes and cheese and 2 layers of chicken.
9. Fold bacon that's hanging over the side of the dish back on top of your last layer.
10. Bake at 400 for 60-70 minutes.

Edit: changes I would make. More mustard, little under seasoned, more hard cheese and no soft cheeses.

Overall the kids gave it a 6.5 and 7 out of 10 score. They both ate their entire plates and served with a side of roasted Brussels. I would give it a 6 based on tonight's preparations.

 

I made this today and it was outstanding.

Chicken Pot Pie Pockets
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
½ onion, chopped fine
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
1 garlic clove, minced
1¼ teaspoons table salt
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup half-and-half
1½ cups shredded rotisserie chicken
1 cup frozen peas and carrots
2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
1 large egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water

1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 400 degrees. Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment. Melt butter in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onion, thyme, garlic, and salt until softened, about 4 minutes. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Whisk in half-and-half, bring to simmer, and cook until thickened, about 1 minute. Transfer to large bowl and stir in chicken and peas and carrots (mixture will be thick). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

2. If puff pastry sheets are larger than 9½ by 9 inches, trim to that size. Lightly brush 1 dough sheet with egg wash (reserve remaining egg wash). Divide filling into 4 equal portions and place on dough. Place second dough sheet on top, stretching and firmly pressing dough around edges and between filling portions to seal. Cut assembled dough into four squares and place on prepared sheet. Using fork, crimp edges of dough to seal. Cut three 1-inch slits on top of each pie.

3. Brush tops of pies with remaining egg wash. Bake until well browned, 20 to 24 minutes. Let cool slightly. Serve.

 

We just watched the Jamie Foxx Netflix special..
