Ours was always 2 drink tickets, then buy your own. Thus the sneaking in of personal stuff...

 

Yeah, ours too. Two drinks is plenty for me, especially with coworkers.

 

Yeah, I rarely if ever have more than 2. I stick to zero around coworkers.

 

That goes for most of us in here.

Not worth it unfortunately.

They paved the gravel “trailer parking” lot on the west side and now it’s a pay lot with 6 trailer spots that appear dedicated to buses.

Should have gotten there at 10:30, but we were in traffic from the drop out of Blewett Pass. Didn’t park until 11am. I legit started driving down the center turn lane b/c fuktrds were stopped 3 deep to turn into parking lots that had “Full” signs out.

The crowds were not too bad in town thankfully. Unfortunately the pretzel was dry and over cooked. My two brauts were uninspiring too.

Stopped at our fav coffee shop there in the middle of town. Stood for 10min and they helped exactly one group ahead of us in line. Wife looked and me and we left.

Dropped two bills at Cured getting Christmas dinner. Probably the last $ we spend there. Even in the summer, with trailer parking gone there’s no reason to stop.

 

Damn. Sucks to hear, I haven't ate there in probably 2 years.

Lworth is so weird.. such a unique one of a kind place but I want to gtfo there ASAP

 

My company Christmas party started about 8 minutes ago. I am not attending because I am working. Even when I had the days off I never attend. I'm here to make money to live my life elsewhere. If you're not paying me, I'm not talking to you. I don't put it that bluntly when I pass, because I like my job, but that's the core of it.

 

Well, this explains why you haven't been returning my calls...

I'm on the forum voluntarily because I enjoy the people here. My statement was purely directed at my past, present, and future employers. I do not get a job for the social aspect of it. It's transactional. They pay me and I get screwed. Basically, I'm a hooker. It's why @Azblue thinks I'm so cool.

they are all neighbors or high school buddies

I won’t even eat biz lunch with salespeople or vendors. Breaking bread is special to me

I’ll only eat biz lunch with my biz partners.


It was a damn tough day when I realized nobody cares

I came across this the other day and thought about the retiree’s talk here.
There was an article I read (maybe 20 years ago) where every year worked past 65 shortened your life an equivalent amount. Probably fictional but food for thought. I’ve been retired for awhile. When my older brother passed a couple years ago, that was a shock.

 

Today is one of those days the wife and I are on different planets.

Go to a grocery store and I say lets walk the aisle. She agrees. And then darts across the store in the opposite direction.

After getting back on task, she remembers we need peppers and heads back to produce. Daughter and I wait on aisle 4. Wife then legit walks aisles 2-3 (again!) before turning onto 4.

At this point I take over pushing the cart and tell them just follow the cart. I haven’t had a nicotine craving for decades and I had one by aisle 5.

Liquor store and Home Depot were fine b/c I pushed the cart and stopped asking questions. I just made decisions.

Next, I need you to use your imagination. Say your spouse walked you into your favorite store and said “Pick out whatever you want”. Imagine the awesome.

My wife’s favorite store is a fancy cooking store in town. I green light it b/c I am short two presents for Christmas. She immediately turns to the section with glassware (which she just bought online a few months ago) and shit like cloth napkins and crap. I walk off cuz I’ve had it by then. She eventually shows up with four wood spoons and a goofy tool for her mom’s stocking.

Maybe I will work the holiday.
