Looking at these bed steps, was wondering if these things rattle around like crazy while driving or if theyre pretty solid? Seen one at the dealership and the bushings were a little wobbly. Anybody experience the same thing? TIA

Had the first part number on my 22 with no issues. Ordered the current PN for the 25. Still waiting on it.

Solid. Until someone backs into you at the mall and breaks it.

Of course. Can you share the current part number siblue? Thanks

did they change the step or just swap part numbers for some reason?

Have one one mine and don’t think I could live without it. My previous GMCs had the cutout on the corner of the bumper, but the Toyota does not. And so with my 3” lift and 35” tires, I don’t know how I’d get in the bed without mine.

I have one of the cheap AMZ ones ($80-$90) on mine for the last year and it's been very solid.
Up or down, no rattles or play.

Same here, the cheap Amazon works great with no issues and no rattling. My friend has a 25 tundra with the factory step and it feels more robust than my $90 dollar amazon version but not sure if its worth the extra $300 for the factory version.

They are great. They should be standard though. It’s kind of ridiculous that they aren’t. I know the point of a business is to make as much money as possible but they could have just added that amount in to every truck and no one would notice, and then you’d have a product that was ready to work out of the gate. In fact if they were a part of the manufacturing flow and sourcing, they could Kaizen the sourcing and install way down and make plenty of margin (bucket$ of money) on every single step.
