Hey guys, Resorting to my tundra brothers for some help here.

I moved to Arizona 6 months ago from Washington state. I grew up Mule deer hunting there and I am itching to get started on learning the Arizona Mule deer game.

Any advice for me on which units to put in for in next years draw? I just want a legal buck. Dont need a 200+ monster.

You can find a good buck in any unit just gotta be willing to look. A legal buck is any buck with antlers and you can find those in any unit. Just pick a unit and learn it.

Also super hard to get a tag for...

Southern AZ is not to be overlooked and a little easier to get a tag.

If I’m not mistaken - every unit is draw for rifle.

Probably, but I'm not 100% sure. I think it depends on game going after. I think it's pretty easy to get a tag for couse deer in the south.

Yeah the odds for me to draw a strip tag are around 0.4%. An amazing hunt but, not super practical. AZboathauler, yes all deer rifle hunts are a special draw.

I bagged this beauty yesterday, it was a tough shot in really adverse conditions.

I’m on the board of the local electric utility here in Oregon and we have a problem with people baiting those deer with little transformers.
