I came across a strange window issue this morning, was able to replicate it many times, and wondering if this is just my tundra, or more common.

Started the car, rolled down the drivers window about 4 inches, then went right back to UP on the switch. The window will change direction to go up momentarily, then immediately change to going back down even though im holding the switch in the up position. Strange, so I tried that again from the top and was able to replicate it many times, the 4 inches from top is the magic spot, either side above or below it behaves normally.

Same thing for the front passenger window, from either driver or passenger control.
Wondering if anyone else has come across this? And if anyone else can replicate it or if it’s just mine for some reason? I know this is non critical, just curious.

I have no invasive mods like can bus add ons or self wired interior/ exterior lights that might play with voltage drops. Mostly stock besides tires, etc.

I had an issue with the driver door window similar to this. I also had the display "window open." The service tech duplicated and re-initialized the window/sensor and fixed the issue. No charge.

Sounds like the jam protection is triggering for some reason. If the vehicle thinks it senses an object on the window while rolling up it will go back down.

Funny how many things it could be, thats how complicated our cars have become. I’ll check the slide resistance learn first and report back
