Let me add to my original post on this. The lid screw closest to the fender/front of the truck would actually strike the hood when it was closed. I ended up milling the area around the screw hope on the original lid to the point it was nearly paper thin so there was some clearance. I confirmed that with using a piece of Play-Doh and closing the hood with it between the hood itself and the intake.

Now my clear lid was cut from 1/16" polycarbonate. I clamped the piece of glass to my work bench (with rubber pads to keep from scratching/damaging the surface) and free hand cut it with a Dremel with a plastic cutting bit. I didn't run a gasket because I have clearance issues otherwise I would of. Also determined the amount of engine bay hot air seep into the box is negligible compared.to the 2 large ports where air is pulled from.

Could anyone confirm if the supplied shroud works/fits with aftermarket transmission coolers?

Blacked out, DD12" catback, Stillen CAI, CAN tune soon
Just to vent how much a dislike allen screws.. I found some stainless thumb screws on Amazon which makes much more sense IMO.. except as mentioned above, the front outside thumb screw did end up hitting the hood so I just left that one out. the lid still feels solid and I can remove the lid without tools now.upload_2024-12-4_16-39-50.png
