I have Bilstein 6112's set at just under 2". Aftermarket front bumper so front plastic isn't an issue. I get rubbing on the OEM skid at full lock. I'm assuming just cut that corner off the OEM skid. I plan to make a skid plate to extend from bumper to OEM skid underneath eventually.

There's no rubbing on the plastic mudflap. However, it's very close. Anyone just use a heat gun to dimple the mud flap away from the tire a little bit?

Just cut the wings on each side off the stock skid. It cuts very easily, you probably wont even need to remove it.

I cut mine in the driveway.

Other have just bent the wings up for clearance.

Ended up cutting about 1" on each side. Still rubs just a bit on pass side, and used some channel locks to bend it up. Great idea...

That looks really good. I just put on 285/75R18. They rub and I finally determined it is the skid. I was gonna bend that up in the morning. Mines trashed anyways.
What front bumper have you got there?

Yeah, I think your rubbing has to do with 75 series tires. I had 285's without an issue, so the width should not be the problem, depending on rim/offset. But 75 is a lot of rubber going up from the rim, which ultimately sticks out further when you're at full lock turns. The trim and bend seems to have solved my issue.
