Those tires are terrible looking on that thing. Like the wheels are too damn big or something.

I like the wheels. But yeah they are probably 18's. More side wall the less likely you are to chew up your reeeims on the rocks.

first time i have seen your rig DD, that's nice man:thumbsup: She's sitting pretty high. That NO wheel well trim looks really clean.
Paint? You changing color or just a refresh? (I miss some talks, forgive me if you've covered that somewhere...)

Yes, it was an impulse buy a few years ago. The body is very straight and the frame is obviously in like-new condition from being in the desert all its life.

The current wheels were thrown on it 3 days before a 2k mile trip due to the incorrect lug nuts being used on the original factory Starfish by the PO. Since I knew my vision for the truck, I've stuck it out with them until painting. On a positive note, those wheels did help me determine where I want my "poke" to be when they are replaced at paint time.

Sorry. Yes, paint is going from Desert Sand Mica to Flat Tan. Goal is before T2S 2025. Lol.

2nd edit. Sorry. Lol. Yes, it does sit high, and is fantastic on the open road where it spends most of its time operating. The choices I made really do shine when the truck is driven at 70+ mph. I'm very happy with it and Toyota's engineering. It is not built for where there's a lot of pot holes. It is definitely an open-road truck.

3rd edit: Yes, I removed the thin wheel-well trim strips shortly after purchase. I also attempted to remove the other body trim pieces before discovering there are holes there. I decided to hold-off on removing them since I always knew a repaint was in the future and I'll simply fill the holes then and no longer have any trim anywhere. I'm going for a clean look.

Tu, sir, I appreciate that, and I tend to agree, but I want to follow through with my original vision when I purchased it. I think you'll like it. Stay tuned.

Edit: I am considering selling it when I'm done with my vision. I'm not sure, yet. It is a great truck on the open road and a blast to drive. It's also in very good condition. I'll decide soon-ish.

No, but I shit you not, I actually do look like EVH. Very straightforward flat tan paint. It will look cool AF when I'm done with it. Guaranteed.

And, I have played the guitar for ~ 45 yrs...

Me at 58. I'll see if I can dig up a photo of when I was 19. The resemblance is uncanny.
