i have an opportunity to purchase OEM headlights off a 2020 Tundra.

can I install these on my 2016 without any issue?
If it matters my 2016 is a limited with daytime running orange lights

I heard there might be an issue with wire harness ???
do I need some other wire harness adapter ??

If I remember right, it can be done. You just need to get the "iHacker harness" to convert the wiring. Someone that's done it will chime in I'm sure.

I’m assuming 2020 is LED correct? If so you need a harness from @iHacker as he mentioned above. There are couple options to choose from. I got non dimming which is easiest option plug and play.

yes the headlights are LED from a 2020.

If I dont get this wire harness , would everything work except for the daytime running lights ?
Is this ihacker harness mainly to convert my orange daytime running lights to the white daytime running lights that are around the headlight ?

If I decide to get this ihacker harness, where would I purchase? is there a website? ebay ? or?

I believed the wiring is different and it will not work without his harness. You can PM him for more questions as he’s on this forum and I tagged him for you on earlier post and hopefully he gets back to you. @iHacker

I just recently put the same lights on my 2016 using the iHacker harness.

I got the nondimming model and kept the amber daytime running lights along with the LED DRL's.

The harness literally took minutes to install and was very simple even for a knuckledragger such as myself.

The harness is very well made and looks better than the factory stuff. I can't reccomend it enough.

Agree. Go with the Ihacker harness. It is what I put in mine.

Might want to consider going with a HID retrofit, light projection distance will be much better with HIDs. I know everyone loves LEDs but they have some disadvantages.

I had an HID retrofit. It had to be taken apart and repaired 3 times in 18 months. Each time, I had to remove the lights, put my halogens back in and send them back to the builder. Build quality sucked. It may have just been mine, but it is what you risk when buying a retrofit. They were brighter than the LEDs, but the aim was terrible and they were a headache.

    A bunch
That one will work as well, it's the one I have. The DRL on the new lights do stay full brightness though while the iHacker harness has an option to dim like its from factory. Both harnesses are the same install except for the optional dimming through the firewall.

That sucks, I knew that was a concern for sure. I've been lucky, never had any leaks or failures, but its a bitch to do yourself.

Yes that harness will work, it's what I'm running in my 2017. As a note, when you are done, the Amber DRL will still function, so you'll need to disable it. It's pretty easy and takes 10-15 minutes to do.

How expensive are the LED headlights? I got these: https://www.protuninglab.com/axhl-tun14-tled-lb-a.html

Yes, the online reviews for company protuninglab are not great, but at the price I figured I would give them a shot. Have not had any issues so far. The housings are alpharex. I started a threat about them, if you want to check it out. I have a ‘16 limited as well. They come with one harness to wire in which is not hard. Just need a low profile mini wire tap with 10 amp fuse. Some people feel better with OEM quality and that is cool but thought I would bring up an second option for you.

Hi, new to forum. Bought OEM 2021 lights for my 2016. Installed yesterday. Signals worked when tested. But when the headlights are on they go hyper in the back and not blinking in the front. I used the headlight revolution harness. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a cure?

    Too many, but not enough....
How about one more? Lol I used ihacker as well. No way I would use some overpriced Chinese made harness from anywhere else.

I see that now. My issues is why I joined the forum. I’ve purchased the headlight revolution harness. Looks as though I need to change the original blinker harness polarity. Anyone have experience with this?

Return the harness or take the loss and do yourself a favor and buy @iHacker harness. I used his harness and it was plug and play and works great. Also top notch quality

Gee, has anyone mentioned the iHacker harness? :) Another vote for it - worked perfectly to put factory LED headlights on my 2016.
