    Hello gentleman. New guy here...
I got a two issues outta my truck and im not sure they go hand in hand or if they are separate issues....
2019 toyota tundra - with a viper remote start...
A while ago I started having issues while driving -
I would put the truck in reverse and back out the drive way then put the truck in gear and drive a few blocks.... the moment i put the truck in reverse the door would lock like normal but at some point after taking off (Never right away - would have to at least drive a mile or so) but ( after pressing the brake and releasing it ) the doors would unlock - this would happen at random but almost every time the truck was driven... sometime it would do it after slowing down on the highway - sometimes it would do it as soon as I let off the brake leaving the stop sign by the house... if you locked the doors again the truck would have not do it again.... it's something to do with the first lock and stopping and letting off the brake.....

Part two - I'm just now finding this out....

I have a new issue with the truck not wanting to start with the key.... ( note - recently my detailer lost my factory key ) - I had to have a emergency lock Smith come out and make me a new key ( a basic key with no buttons )....
Anyway- My truck is currently in the body shop getting some body work done because a drunk driver side swipped me - this is also part of the reason my key got lost in the first place.... anyway - they body shop has called me several times saying they can't get the truck to start with the key.... but somehow - I can start the truck with my viper app - then they can put the key in - turn it on and drive it like normal.... so it won't start with the key - will run with the key after being started with the remote start.... anyone got any advice on this? Anyone had any issues?

Side note - a day or so after the new key was made - i was driving to work one morning and noticed the red security light flashing.... nothing was effected but that light was sure annoying.... when i got to work I turned the truck off and restarted it with the key and it was fine....

The really bad part of this - i constantly use my remote start - this could be due to the new key or it could have been a on going issue for a while and I never noticed it because I always use the remote start..... although I'm sure I can think of a several times I used the factory key to start in the weeks prior to losing my key and I don't recall a issue... I'm certain the lock Smith test the key after programing and it worked several times for him.....

Idk if this key lost programing or what is going on...

I have a 2018 Platinum with a Viper Alarm (and remote start system). Mine will periodically give me a similar issue when I try to start it with the key (won't allow me to start it). I've found that sometimes the Viper system engages a security mode of sorts (my Viper fob will have a lock symbol on the screen), and I cannot start the truck with the key without first hitting unlock on the Viper fob (I think hitting unlock on the key fob also might disable this security mode). Then the truck starts up just fine after hitting the unlock button on the Viper fob. So I think your situation with the starting issues is fairly normal operation for the Viper system. May be worth perusing a user manual online for the specific Viper system you have.

Regarding your doors randomly locking, that does sound like an issue, but sorry I'm not sure where I'd even start with that one.

Red... You maybe right... this whole ordeal seems like it started after I mistakingly pushed the panic button in my app for my remote start - this happened the day i dropped it at the body shop....
I dont have the viper fob - i just have an app on my phone and originally my factory fob worked with the remote start ( click lock 3 times would trigger the remote start ) I wounder if somehow when I hit panic - if I put the truck in some kinda lockdown mode..... I remember the shop calling and saying the truck wouldn't start and when I opened the app the ( panic icon was flashing )

Thanks for letting me know about the issue you have - it seems like that is also the same issue I'm having.... it's hard to tell since the truck is not with me. Appreciate you bud.
