    Waiting for my TRD lift…
All was good driving in a rainy day… after work started the truck, night mode on dash + entertainment system not coming on. No rpm on dash, oil temps nothing, gas consumption 0… high beam not working fog light stayed off. Truck works fine speedometer works, safety features works…the temperature control light are all off… any clue anyone?
I tried to unplug the battery for a couple minutes to try to reset something… nada.
    No water trace under hood…

Could try disconnecting battery for a few minutes.
Shouldn't have too, but it's just a giant computer, maybe needs a reboot.

    Lots of stuff!
Sounds like the nightshade edition is doing what it is supposed to! :)

But seriously, there must be a loose connection or a blown fuse perhaps.

Since the engine runs and the safety systems are still working, they must be wired into a different power supply. Probably done to protect the vital functions.

Unfortunately, you might need to visit the dealer to get it straightened out.

I know it's a problem here in AZ, but could be rodent damage from chewing on a wire harness

Just a Hail Mary here and I'm not sure where the ECM is on the tundra but wonder if the wire connector to the module could be partially dislodged. Just a thought. This from a website I found "Miscellaneous Electrical Issues: ECM problems can manifest as electrical glitches, such as malfunctioning gauges, intermittent stalling, or non-responsive accessories."

I had an intermittent problem with my cruise control on an '99 Tacoma. It went on for a couple of years, they could never reproduce it. One day I reached down in the area of the cruise control and a connector went "click." It was not seated properly. Never had a problem with it after that.

Started the truck this morning and all was back to normal… crazy weird… my friemd who works at toyota said maybe there was an ongoing update or something that was messing with the computer.

I'm glad it was a self-correcting problem, but those always make me leery.

I had a front camera glitch, that disabled the radar cruise and collision detection, suddenly self-correct after a few days last May. It lasted about 5 months and now the problem has returned permanently for a month. The dealership seems clueless to what the problem might be.

I really wanted to love this truck like my previous 2 Tundras, but the love affair is waning.
