Lately, I’ve been hearing a clunking sound coming from the right front side of the Truck. It doesn’t happen all the time, and I definitely hear it at lower speeds. Assuming it was the upper ball joint, I attempted to add grease as recommended by the manufacturer only to find that the grease was coming out from the backside of where the boot is torn. They are the SPC brand and I replaced them in March of 2022, along with the lower ball joints with OEM. The upper ball joints are SPC and I plan on replacing those with the new version they offer. My question for you All is, should I replace the lower ball joints As well? My assumption is no that I don’t have to Unless there’s play, but I just wanted to ask to see what you all think. I appreciate any advice

The lower ball joints are probably still fine if you used OEM 2 years ago. Just check the bolts. The clunk might be a sway bar bushing. Even if they don't have noticeable slack, they sometimes clunk. They did on mine. I replaced them and the clunk was gone.

If you used any aftermarket LBJ two years ago, they are 24 months overdue for replacement.
