Prior to the below dates been noticing 1-3 taking longer to shift into gear intermittently.

On 11/15/24 -Throw the above with the mix of now today it will not go into reverse. Thank god I was at my mechanics getting brakes, oil, inspection, etc done when this happened! I knew reading to reset to ECM/PCM first. They did but did not share the codes which I did not ask for. My mistake. Worked for a couple trips then started misbehaving again.

Today 11/25/24, took truck to auto mechanic, again due to issues with reverse and 1-3 and now lights on dash.

They showed me 3 codes: But unable to print them out-bummer -Thanks for forums!

    P0761-Shift Solenoid "C" Fault code.
P1604-Startability Malfunction -Could be from when it would not start and kept cranking over and over without me turning the key -about a month ago. Battery is at 98%. One forum read Thermostat coolant controller was issue for starting??? not 100% sure.
P2714-Pressure control solenoid "D" Fault Code

So looking at the P1604 -I believe this has something to do with the starting issue where you turn the key to crank it and it keeps cranking without you turning key until it dies or you turn it off and re-try starting. This happened about a month ago. It has been about a year since I had that issue.

When I called a tranny place in Corpus Christi this morning and gave him details and specifics of issue and asked him about the shift solenoid. (This was prior to getting the 3 codes today). He was telling me that he had given up changing out solenoids cause he is always given the incorrect ones and grew frustrated. I was looking at a rebuilt OEM Valve Body and shows around $900.00. YIKES!! Where is a truck "rent a lift" when you need one! I got tools as already looked on how to change one out.

hopefully someone will see this and let me know if changing out the 2 solenoids would be better alternative that whole valve body. Might have to locate another tranny person...was referred to "Interstate Transmission" -any help would be much appreciated!
