I know the tensioner pulley bearing slides onto a dowel but does the idler pulley just butt up the bolt hole? there is a small dowel like protrusion, maybe 1/4 inch, but the pulley I ordered doesn't fit over over it. I cant remember how it was when I took the old one off and lost the bearing when I took it out trying to size up a replacement or i would just test the fit with it.

    thx

Just did these a few weeks ago. As I recall, you are correct. Idler pulley just butts up - no protrusion like the tensioner pulley.

Hey man, thanks for confirmation. I watched a cpl vids but it only shows the bolting in of the pulley with no view of the back. Gunna wrap up my 2 month timing belt job today. Thanks again.
